Rosh Hashanah

September 18, 2009. Rosh Hashanah.

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first [day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Rosh Hashanah begins a new year on the Hebrew calendar. Tradition says that on this day we examine our past deeds and ask for forgiveness for our the history of the Jews and pray for Israel.

It is stated that the destiny of all mankind is recorded by G-d in the Book of Life.

I wonder how "christians" ever got so far away from scripture. This is a quite clear - what to do and when to do it.
